Strength Through Creative Healing
Pittsburgh Art Therapy for Individuals, Families, and Groups
Many Insurances Accepted

Kate Gibson
Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, ATR-BC, LPC
Everyone experiences life in their own way and therefore our thoughts, feelings and perceptions are unique to each individual. Although words are our primary method of communication, words sometimes cannot fully express our emotions and experiences. As a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I use art making and creativity specified to meet your individual needs to help guide you and your family towards healing and wellness.

"Through art we can communicate our thoughts and feelings in a way that transcends language"
Draw it Out Therapy is where you...
Are given a space where you can breathe a little, let out what has been bottled up when you don't have the words to describe how you feel, and maybe even start to feel like yourself again.

We meet at a cozy studio filled with art supplies waiting for you to dive in. A quiet room for relaxing or just zoning out for a bit. Areas where families can reconnect, or spots where you can sit and let it all out one-on-one.

This is a place where it’s okay to cry, laugh, mess up, or start over. No judgment—just a lot of heart and a little creativity to help you figure things out.
This isn't simple couch talk,
it's movement & expression

Taking time to heal isn't selfish and doesn't have to be lonely
Taking the first step can feel scary, but you’re braver than you think. If you’re ready to try something new, I’m here to walk with you. You don’t have to do this alone.

When you’re ready, I’ll be here, paintbrush (or box of tissues) in hand. Let’s find your way forward together.
